in the example a custom "Exhibit" type is created. we use a struct (instead of a class) to make sure that nodes can't change incoming data, but only copy the data, modify it before writing that into the outputs. using structs is the easiest way to make sure that your nodes will work in a dataflow orientated language that vvvv is.
