fantastic!
after teaching those workshops i wanted to make better MakeDocumentation tools.
Esentially a GUI plugin that gives a rich text editor (with a toolbar for nodes and pins, perhaps it even lists the nodes in current patch as suggestions). This would replace the current IOBox (String) edit approach.
Another important feature would be language selection. Then it's easy for all languages to exist in the same patch. It'd look at system language for default language selection, and you could change it in the config pin of any of the MakeDocumentation nodes (this setting would exist per session), or with a singleton Language (MakeDocumentation) node
For the time being, perhaps could make a 'Russian' branch of the VVVV.Tutorials.Fundamentals? Then will merge into the new versions
Anyway, that's if you choose to continue using it!
Hi, Elliot. I'm already forked your makedocumentation and fundamentals repos on github. I think merging is a good idea, but i refactored first of your 2 tutorials and changed tutorials order. Also i planning to make a little different implementations of your dx part. This can be a problem for the switchable version. I think integrated editor is the good idea, because currently to edit text i'm copying it to Sublime. Also, i think we can use VVVV.js as screenshot's replacement, or you planning to integrate documentation more deeply?
I thought about vvvv.js, but it doesn't really match up to a real screenshot for the purpose it's to perform (be a mirror image of what beginners expect to see on their screen)
Be happy to see your changes. These tutorials are far from perfect, and I'm hoping to continuously improve them / add more to the series
