imagine being deep down at the bottom of the ocean, it's dark and quiet and you slightly loose orientation. weird creatures appear out of the vast space .. while you keep on exploring this alien surrounding.
the react group of the Muthesius Kunsthochschule was asked to design an exhibition for the IFM Geomar Marine Science Institute based in Kiel. Putting the emphasis on creating a certain mood rather than bombarding people with information, worked quite well. we made everything, from interior design, print media, interactive installations to the first facade projection in Kiel.
The exhibition was open during the 'Tag der deutschen Einheit' festivity and we counted about 4800 people visiting our exhibition. ...more..
ndsvisuals (working title ...) is a system designed to loosen VJs from their stationary input devices, by equipping them with a wireless remote control - more precisely: a nintendoDS gaming console. by using all the features the nintendoDS provides (such as two screens, a touchscreen, wirless networking, ...) it enables VJs to control their visual performance from wherever they have a WLAN-connection to their notebook.

Jannis Urle Kilian Kreft designs a computational realtime visualization for a live performance of the "Berliner Cellharmoniker" at the EnBW showroom Berlin.
4 radio controlled sound pick-up systems are mounted on the instruments to get a live music input. Jannis designs 4 soundresponsive streams of shapes, one for each musician, building the vizualisation. The visuals are playing on LED's embedded in a Corian wall.

Jannis Urle Kilian Kreft designs computational body projections and soundresponsive, interactive realtime visuals for Hip Hop artists Monarch & Thec. The show entitled "Generative Audiovisual Systems" was performed in 2005 at the University of the Arts Berlin and the "Spit on Stage" Hip Hop Jam.
"Generative Audiovisual Systems" is also Jannis Kreft's Diploma thesis at the University of the Arts Berlin.
Kreft developed his own technology for realizing realtime body projections. He designed a computational realtime visual set that is not only visually stunning but also conceptually tailored to each song performed by the artists.
Kreft graduated Magna Cum Laude from the UdK Berlin.

Interactive lighting installation at 100%Design in London. "The work challenges the concept of infinity and illusion, creating volumes of light in virtual space".
Sandwiched between two layers of 'spy mirror', 80 CCFL tubes are controlled by DMX -- via the one and only VVVV! A single panoramic Sony video camera captures the movement of people in front of the 8m wall. There movement is mirrored as smooth moving ripples of white light.
