Neurogram is a neural controlled software, designed and built by Caterina Lani for her master's degree in New Art Technologies, within the course of Video Music held by professor Davide Riboli at the Academy of Fine Arts in Urbino.
The program, controlled by a NeuroSky helmet and written in VVVV, imports an Instagram stream and stops when it feels particular fluctuations in brain waves of the connected wearer. The fluctuations apply to the image a series of glitches. If the user blinks the eyes the new glitched image is saved.
The video shows a test phase of the beta version of the software, with the ISIA students thanks to the availability of Interface Design course held by professor Valentina Rachiele.
