@Joanie +1 for GitHub

alg, Thursday, Aug 11th 2011

thanks for the answer, gregsn. Is there any documentation available?

efe, Thursday, Aug 11th 2011

@efe: dynamic plugins are c# only. "static" plugins can be written in c++ with an external compiler...

gregsn, Thursday, Aug 11th 2011

is it possible to write dynamic plugins using c++?

efe, Thursday, Aug 11th 2011

ah sorry for flooding the blog, uploading not as header doesnt work somehow~

tekcor, Thursday, Aug 11th 2011

i haven't, sorry.

bilderbuchi, Thursday, Aug 11th 2011

vienna vvvv users! has anyone worked with the machines in the mediaopera and set up a boygroup for the current projection config?

sinus, Thursday, Aug 11th 2011

joanie: maybe put the project on github, to easily debug, enhance, share?

bilderbuchi, Thursday, Aug 11th 2011

@antivj: consider to user folders modules effects plugins instead of content include, so mapping_toolkit.v4p will can be a root

fibo, Thursday, Aug 11th 2011

@sugo that would be a mindblowing melting pot of a development environment

mrboni, Thursday, Aug 11th 2011

@Joanie: Thx, looks great! btw, what about your openframeworks GUI (http://bit.ly/oRW44Z)? Wasn't there a plan to release this?

bilderbuchi, Thursday, Aug 11th 2011

exe compilable exe compilable ! ( please ?)

karistouf, Thursday, Aug 11th 2011

thxs antiVj!

karistouf, Thursday, Aug 11th 2011

node/52094 Super basic, but feedbacks welcome

Joanie_AntiVJ, Thursday, Aug 11th 2011

@mrboni for sure would be great to mix vvvv with some quartz technologies :-)

efe, Wednesday, Aug 10th 2011

OpenCL can interoperate with DirectX and oGL

efe, Wednesday, Aug 10th 2011

@mrboni - and we could be seeing our dynamic plugin language being exchanged for openFrameworks/Cinder/Processing

elliotwoods, Wednesday, Aug 10th 2011

@sebl - you mean ctrl+g? not boygroup? :)

elliotwoods, Wednesday, Aug 10th 2011

@Joanie_AntiVJ your donload link doesn't work

sunep, Wednesday, Aug 10th 2011

would be great to get vvvv on osx and hooked up with Syphon to all the other wicked mac visual things happening right now.

mrboni, Wednesday, Aug 10th 2011

sorry, seems I mixed up a few things there :)

ft, Wednesday, Aug 10th 2011

dream: > select node > press ctrl+b > node turns green and is computed on the gpu

sebl, Wednesday, Aug 10th 2011

also, i disagree :-).. vvvv-opengl would be very interesting. gpgpu is something totally different.

bilderbuchi, Wednesday, Aug 10th 2011

ft, what you probably mean is Cuda. OpenCl works on more GPUs than Cuda.

bilderbuchi, Wednesday, Aug 10th 2011

no, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GPGPU

bilderbuchi, Wednesday, Aug 10th 2011

@efe: isn't gpgpu limited to nvidia hardware?

ft, Wednesday, Aug 10th 2011

@sugokuGENKI: i'm on win32, uvc/1394 cameras. i'll try building it, then :)

dEp, Wednesday, Aug 10th 2011

@efe, agreed. porting vvvv to ogl looks to me like reinventing the wheel. making something work which already works.

u7angel, Wednesday, Aug 10th 2011

@dEp : not yet. a bit busy on a project right now. which platform(win32/osx) / cameras(uvc/1394/dslr)?

elliotwoods, Wednesday, Aug 10th 2011

I think that more interesting than creating a gl-vvvv would be to have a gpgpu support

efe, Wednesday, Aug 10th 2011

oGL 4 is not supported by any OSX version. Lion has now 3.2

efe, Wednesday, Aug 10th 2011

@sugokuGENKI: are there pre-built binaries of Maptools-SL available anywhere?

dEp, Wednesday, Aug 10th 2011

(but i'd also prefer if we went ogl, because i already can code in ogl. not dx, and probably never)

elliotwoods, Wednesday, Aug 10th 2011

@rrrr - Although DX11 is generally accepted as more advanced than OpenGL 4, and much more elegantly built.

elliotwoods, Wednesday, Aug 10th 2011

@r4dian yea, could be. though i don't see the importance of dx these days as there's a multitude of OS out there now all supporting gl

rrrr, Wednesday, Aug 10th 2011

@unc :)

xd_nitro, Wednesday, Aug 10th 2011

an easy solution looks different to me ;)

u7angel, Wednesday, Aug 10th 2011

http://vimeo.com/sitd/sensible [ a vvvv/kinect installation ]

SITD_NL, Wednesday, Aug 10th 2011

@io http://kathack.com/

elliotwoods, Tuesday, Aug 9th 2011

@rrrr going to assume you mean "add GL" instead of "loose DX".

r4dian, Tuesday, Aug 9th 2011

@xd_nitro: yp, but this was some lastyear stuff, working on new version now (patch will be released)

unc, Tuesday, Aug 9th 2011

@unc - realtime?

xd_nitro, Tuesday, Aug 9th 2011

@u7angel easy solution by getting rid of directx

rrrr, Tuesday, Aug 9th 2011

so elegant unc

karistouf, Tuesday, Aug 9th 2011

@rrrr, still no direct-x on macosx

u7angel, Tuesday, Aug 9th 2011

re:vote... a massive amount of VJs I meet generally lack any tech skills. hence why module8 & Res so massive ;)

xd_nitro, Tuesday, Aug 9th 2011

agree) i just point that it's incorrect to keep vvvv and resolume in one list. for me (according to the list) we are #4, not 7.

bo27, Tuesday, Aug 9th 2011

hum... sorry but i m still not convinced by hidding and locking. compiled exe would be the ultimate next great thing ;-)

karistouf, Tuesday, Aug 9th 2011

end-user interacttion stuff))

bo27, Tuesday, Aug 9th 2011

sorry but do it now what ?

karistouf, Tuesday, Aug 9th 2011

@karistouf that would be great, but anyway i do it now and know many users who do the same

bo27, Tuesday, Aug 9th 2011

wich is not actually possible. -(

karistouf, Tuesday, Aug 9th 2011

@bo 27: would be possible if we could COMPILE an exe from patch

karistouf, Tuesday, Aug 9th 2011

Mac OS X 71.8% vvvv could be on top ..just saying

rrrr, Tuesday, Aug 9th 2011

it's only VJ rate. lets they try to do something end-user interactive with resolume)))

bo27, Tuesday, Aug 9th 2011

tststst shame on us. would have been great to have a link such as THE NEXT BIG THING. next time ?

karistouf, Tuesday, Aug 9th 2011

mostly. the bigger packages seem to have motivated their usebase to vote, though.

bilderbuchi, Tuesday, Aug 9th 2011

Is the survey based on their readers only?

sapo, Tuesday, Aug 9th 2011

here the results cdms survey i posted earlier this year: http://createdigitalmotion.com/2011/08/what-visual-software-readers-use-some-clear-favorites-plenty-of-diversity-in-census-results/?utm_source=feedbur... vvvv #7. still more to come...

joreg, Tuesday, Aug 9th 2011

cheers joreg! i also put it in the wrong section the 2nd time by accident. it's moved down out of the main menu section now. c

elliotwoods, Monday, Aug 8th 2011

@sugoku: thanks, fixed. you were missing the - for new row

joreg, Monday, Aug 8th 2011

It's Ctrl+J for PatchExplorer. Somehow adding it to ui reference broke the page + didn't add it??? (very sorry!)

elliotwoods, Monday, Aug 8th 2011

anyone remember the hotkey for project manager/viewer. still not documented in normal places

elliotwoods, Monday, Aug 8th 2011

wow is that vvvv.js?

mrboni, Monday, Aug 8th 2011

ahahhah dx11

Noir, Monday, Aug 8th 2011

@io - huh. incredible! dx11? :)

elliotwoods, Monday, Aug 8th 2011

@io wow

everyoneishappy, Monday, Aug 8th 2011

Lightmare, Sunday, Aug 7th 2011

arduino in: basicmata in contrib. or rs232 node but some coding.

karistouf, Sunday, Aug 7th 2011

tried kontrolleur android vvvv app anyone?

graphicuserinterface, Sunday, Aug 7th 2011

but obvuisly not, otherwise you would suggest me i think :)=

ysap, Saturday, Aug 6th 2011

@karistouf: sounds good! want to bring some arduino in ,is there an alternative way with the lovely vvvv? thanks!

ysap, Saturday, Aug 6th 2011

@sugokuGENKI, no big thing. just find it inspiring.

skyliner, Saturday, Aug 6th 2011

@ysap: http://glovepie.org/ is your friend !

karistouf, Saturday, Aug 6th 2011

http://www.ai-class.com/ free online ai class

beyon, Saturday, Aug 6th 2011

kind of faking it, using selfmade input devices and using keyboard "codes" to parse it to games maybe ..

ysap, Saturday, Aug 6th 2011

hey, is there a way to simulate usb controller or keyboard input?

ysap, Saturday, Aug 6th 2011

didnt somone did this sneaker projection thing 2 months ago? is the same thing except less interactive

dawoof, Friday, Aug 5th 2011

ah sorry!! @skyliner, not tonfilm :)

elliotwoods, Friday, Aug 5th 2011

@tonfilm -is it sarcasm? i can't understand anything 'great' about that. small scale has been on the menu for so long. !novelty

elliotwoods, Friday, Aug 5th 2011

http://vimeo.com/15860939

skyliner, Friday, Aug 5th 2011

@all: thanks, but already made it with multiple Buffer's + Cons

unc, Friday, Aug 5th 2011

@unc try the Cons (EX9.Texture)

ruben, Friday, Aug 5th 2011

@unc: or latest alpha on irc

joreg, Thursday, Aug 4th 2011

@unc : perhaps with the sporadic Queue (EX9.Texture) it's possible?

elliotwoods, Thursday, Aug 4th 2011

(they seemed happy about the pin compatibility / underlying ambitions. but specifically narked with the name)

elliotwoods, Thursday, Aug 4th 2011

@joreg yeahp. i heard they were unhappy with netduino for the same reasons the user mentioned, this was about a year ago.

elliotwoods, Thursday, Aug 4th 2011

Good job I've got my umbrella! :S

catweasel, Thursday, Aug 4th 2011

@sugoku: interesting as here one of the netduinos mentions a kind of collaboration with the arduino guys: http://forums.netduino.com/index.php?/topic/20-arduino-vs-netduino/

joreg, Thursday, Aug 4th 2011

is it possible to insert 2 or more textures at once to Buffer (EX9.Texture)?

unc, Thursday, Aug 4th 2011

@tf & u7: goes to show you can't trust a dodgy voice on a demo video
