oh, also, i know it sounds crazy but a few people use this trick. trigger the capture on the camera using arduino, and upload automatically to computer with EyeFi. works with most cam's (even cheap ones) and easier to implement in software
you wont be able to use it as a web camera. CHDK doesn't enable remote capture on all canon cameras, the best 'off the shelf' is a canon powershot g9/10/11 or a canon DSLR
good tip, I'm trying this with my IXUS 40, any driver needed to use it as webcam inside of vvvv?

photo or video? any recent nikon dslr is controllable via available software, i'm sure the other manufacturers do too.

Worked on mandelbulb a bit, hlsl compiler in vvvv doesn't supports the break clause tho, so makes it quite tricky indeed
there are shaders for rendering volumetric textures around (nvidia for instance) but you can't animate volumetric textures in 4v :(
the mandelbulb shader is available in glsl at http://www.iquilezles.org/apps/shadertoy/ though i understand it's trickier in hlsl
does anyone know how can one do avolumetric cloud in vvvv?
(though i reckon you might need a hell of a gpu to implement this as a shader)
