@all: btw thx for your thx! but i myself am really amzed by autoname. is in my rootpatch since 2 days now and can't miss it anymore. but SHIFT+N is a bad shortcut.

yeah i know that already :( but i ave to use it - i spoke with a dali specalist yesterday - he said it should be possible to do what i want with pure dali. know i have to check if the dmx-dali converter works with wished speed
DALI is apparently very slow. A person working with lighting control systems at Fagerhult said it was around 1% of the speed of DMX.

@m9dfuck: most DALI-EVGs are pretty lame - osram quicktronic are way the fastest. i would consider 1-10V technique.
