TADAEX has been established as an annual program with a mixture of fascination, curiosity and hope to the future of contemporary art and a commitment to share, introduce and promote digital and inter-disciplinary art with the help of international platforms.
With the support of the Goethe Institute Teheran, for the 2013 edition NODE - Forum for Digital Arts http://node.vvvv.org is one of these platforms and through this of course the vvvv world.
TADAEX focuses on art, science, technology and society to present the impact of art as a research and development tool for humanity in a variety of different disciplines. We believe that TADAEX can help to create a serious motivation for the young generation of artists in Iran to understand the influence of digital art movement.
The 3 day workshop by david and fleg is an introduction to the vvvv programming environment. Participants will learn how to use vvvv for the creation of small or large scaled media environments with synced networking, real-time motion graphics, audio and video. Within the first two days you will learn how to use vvvv’s user interface and all the basic concepts. On the last day we will create and present a group installation.
the workshop is free of charge, please apply here:http://www.tadaex.com/2013/apply-vvvv?

Around the world new technologies and new means of production and distribution enable unprecedented innovation and creative expression; while the sharing, forking and remixing of knowledge blend traditional fields in a way that informs and inspires new questions, theories and methods.
The retune.13 - creative technology conference is a gathering of artists, scientists, designers, hackers and entrepreneurs who are engaged in these developments, and looking to exchange their ideas and questions on new ways of working, thinking and expressing with technology.
retune.13 takes place from Sept 27 – 29 2013 in Berlin. It is a single-track conference of hand-picked workshops and talks, with limited participants, and generous time for discussing and connecting.

Computer science is a very young and evolving topic in human history. Textual programming as it's commonly used today emerged from early machine languages and is clearly not the end of the story. In this workshop you will learn what comfort, development speed and freedom you will gain from using the visual realtime programming environment vvvv.
After a little theory we will dig into examples which demonstrate some of vvvv's magic powers. The topics may include (in random order):
The workshop is held by Tebjan Halm and joreg, who are both core developers of vvvv.

fee: 15€, max. 20 participants

SPACE is an international meeting-point for artists who share a passion for experimenting with communication mediums, who create synchronized image and sound and, thus, address auditory and visual senses. Visualizers, sound artists and all others interested are warmly invited to participate.
Beyond the walls of the former freight depot and todays cultural center „Bollwerk107“ a temporary audiovisual lab is waiting for you. When dawn strikes we invite you to join us on a long weekend of common research, experimenting and modulating. Through playful experiments mundane inanimate objects will be transformed will be brought to life in unexpected ways: the belt sander is gonna become the drive motor of a kaleidoscope, the controller of a gaming station will transcend to a sound controller and the surveillance camera will transform into a roughly pixeled light sensor of a perpetuum mobile.
Additionally to shiny hardware experiences we invite you to show your newest developments in programming and audiovisual software design. Shiny Toys opens a Space for workshops and lectures, performances and coding.
In addition to the planned lectures and workshops, the SHINY TOYS* SPACE is always open to new contributions, themes and sessions. Spontaneous debates and exchange are just as much a main focus as the tonal and visual adoption of the spaces is.Hinter den Mauern des ehemaligen Güterbahnhofs und heutigen Kulturzentrums “Bollwerk” erwartet euch ein audiovisuelles Labor auf Zeit.

According to wikipedia the Ars Electronica Festival is the "..the most important festival of digital art world wide." Unfortunately this quote is missing a citation, so who knows what it really is...
What it is for sure is a great opportunity to meet fellow v-heads and since the 4 day program is always quite confused with other stuff, here is a collection of vvvv stuff we arranged for you to concentrate on:
Thursday
In the afternoon i'll be talking "Completing Reality" on the Expanded Animation symposium doing some livvvve demos. See the link for details and speaker lineup.
Friday
In case you have a ticket for the Ars Electronica Gala you'll not be able to avoid seeing what robotanton is working on at the moment.
After the gala we march down to the harbour for some mojitos at time's up's bi-annual tabula rasa.
Saturday
After Klangwolke we just cross the street and get wasted at the symbioticcube-av-label-release-party with quite a lineup of vvvv performances and more.
Sunday
In the evening we go to the Grosse Konzertnacht in the Brucknerhaus where in recent years we already rrrr and woeishi playing.
Running all days
shaul is involved in Campus Exhibition: IL(L) Machine – Ars Campus Israel.
tekcor is exhibiting a version of his genome-project at Campus Exhibition: Interface Cultures – Use at your own risk. He also mentioned he realised an exhibit in the "Yours Sincerely" exhibition on the second floor in the AEC (the one with the barcode-scanner + postcards).
Workshop
On 8th and 9th (between 2 and 6pm) shaul will also host a vvvv beginner workshop. I guess it will be at Kunstuni.
know of any more vvvv related stuff? let us know in the comments.

When Tue, Aug 27th 2013 - 19:00 until Tue, Aug 27th 2013 - 19:00
Where DAM Gallery Frankfurt, Gutleutstraße 17 , Frankfurt, Germany
In July and August the regular NODE+CODE meetup is a guest of the DAM Gallery in Frankfurt.
On August 27th NODE + CODE will virtually invite Matthew Epler, founder of the ReCode Project http://recodeproject.com , for a Skype talk to DAM Gallery Frankfurt.
https://www.facebook.com/events/440229669407744/
Epler has set up a website to invite people to get to know and translate works by early digital artists like Manfred Mohr into the Processing programming language based on scans from old "Computer Graphics and Art" magazines. Any work translated there receives an open source license and can be accessed and remixed through the website. However, we will discuss if it makes sense to port those works to processing only and if there is a reason or need to put other languages on the list of interest.
ReCode is an attempt to spread, analyse and preserve early artistic work of digital nature - an honourly intent, if there wasn't the complicated relationship between authorship and open access. Additionally, we will discuss if reverse engineering is actually possible in this case considering that we have just one possible artifact, the one software generated plotter print. Can this be a proper reconstruction of a whole computer artwork? Together with Wolf Lieser, gallerist of DAM, we will be discussing the position and possible reluctance of artists whose work is recoded. Join us at NODE+ CODE's August edition!
