WORKSHOP INFO
The workshop provides the tools to build a project based on the use of real-time multimedia (digital sets, audio-visual performances, interactive installations, etc.). The following topics will be tackled: problems and phases in the construction of a process, from production to staging, in order to realize one’s artistic work. The workshop explores in terms of both theoretical and practical points of view, the aspects that make up a show of contemporary dance or an multimedia installation. It aims to further understanding of the differences in the creation of these two art forms, namely the manner and timing by which the elements are used and combined: body, sound and image.

Vilhelm scan

Vilhelm performs a prenatal concert in collaboration with mom and dad

A new human being is on its way to the world. The new person is very close to being ready to enter the world and can already be felt and heard if you listen in the right way.

To celebrate his pending arrival and future ability to see and hear the World without it being filtered by mums belly, Vilhelm is making a little concert.

Vilhelm already has a very active heart that beats around 135 times per minute. Through the use of a fetal doppler ultrasound probe it is possible to hear the heart and other sounds from the womb. These sounds are manipulated to create interesting soundscapes all while being able to hear them as clearly as we can capture them.

There are in total 4 concerts

December 9 2016 at 22:00 at platform 4, Aalborg
December 21 2016 at 20:00 at Odense Musikbibliotek, Odense

When Mon, Nov 7th 2016 until Wed, Nov 9th 2016
Where Fabra i Coats, Carrer de Sant Adrià, 20, 08030 , Barcelona, Spain

Two full packed days of vvvv based Immersion will empower you to have a basic grasp for the fulldome medium.

velcrome will guide you through basic concepts of realtime dome projection. The workshop will be touching on common workflows, 3d scene definition, story-telling with audio-reactive environments, and mastering for industry warping and mapping.

The newest version of open source vvvv-Dome will be supplied, so best bring your laptop with a nice version of dx11 enabled vvvv to get a jump start.

On the third day, Romain Tardy from AntiVJ will take over.

Why?
You know, VR glasses are cool, but at a fundamental level somewhat asocial. It's the Bucky in us that insists, that domes are the actual social VR places. Gotta push both!

Wisp Festival for Arts, Technology & Communication

ENGLISH

WE LIVE IN A WORLD IN WHICH WE ARE BECOMING INCREASINGLY DEPENDENT ON ONE ANOTHER AND YET AT THE SAME TIME ARE TURNING MORE AND MORE AGAINST ONE ANOTHER. WHY ARE PEOPLE HOSTILE TO WHAT CONNECTS THEM, TO WHAT THEY HAVE IN COMMON - THEIR HUMANITY?
(Arno Gruen, „Der fremde in uns“, 2009)

_____________

Through the theme "The stranger within us", based on a lecture of the german psychoanalyst Arno Gruen in 2009, an exhibition, workshops, performances, concerts & talks will invite the guests to experience several interactive, digital and analog artworks from international artists with all senses and to reflect the loss of empathy in our society with the consequently personal and political consequences from the 18th - 20th of Novembre in Leipzig, Plagwitz.

GERMAN

Vom 18. - 20.
