MOTORSAW aka Sune Petersen (sunep) DEUTERIUM audiovisual live performance.
DEUTERIUM is a live improvised AV-performance where video is generated live with digital video feedback. The resulting image is then sampled and translated straight into audio. This flips the usual relationship between audio and visuals. This way audio is directly reflecting the image. For this performance MOTORSAW has developed an instrument that allows for live improvisation and exploration of the expression and relation between audio and video.

A detailed workshop on the possibilities of vvvv for creating VR experiences. Within the # Immersed Narratives track of the Retune Festival 2016 in Berlin.
Workshop Contents:
While you are fresh in the morning, we'll start with a condensed ~1h presentation that gives you a comprehensive overview of the current VR hype, including:
- available hardware and platforms and how they compare
- technical challenges
- emerging standards of software and interaction design
- software development challenges
Then we'll have a look at a few popular VR experiences to see what they do right and we'll discuss the different concepts.
After this inspirational part we will learn how fast and easy it is to setup a simple 3D VR scene with vvvv's OpenVR pack and develop a quick prototype of a VR experience in real-time. Here you can come up with your own ideas or we find a little project everyone likes. Due to limited hardware access we will work in small teams of about 2-5 people.
During the workshop me, joreg and dominikKoller will be there to assist you in case of patch emergencies.

DOK HACKATHON LEIPZIG - PROGRAMMIERER GESUCHT
Auf dem DOK Leipzig Dokumentarfilmfestival findet vom 31.10. bis 2.11. dieses Jahr ein Hackathon und eine Prototype-Jam statt für die noch Programmierer gesucht werden!
Es geht um die Entwicklung von Prototypen interaktiver Projekte in Teams von ca. 4-5 Personen innerhalb von drei Tagen. Die Teams bestehen aus Filmemachern, Designern & Programmierern. Entwickelt werden z.B. Prototypen interaktiver Webseiten, Apps oder VR-Experiences. Die Prototypen werden am Ende der drei Tage einem Fach-Publikum präsentiert und bekommen Feedback von einer Jury.
Kleine Preise wird es geben, in drei Tagen entsteht ein Prototyp und am wichtigsten - es macht Spaß!

The „Wisp – Festival for Digital Arts“, from 18th - 20th of November in Leipzig, welcomes submissions on this year`s theme „The stranger within us“.
Under the theme "The stranger within us", based on a lecture of the german psychoanalyst Arno Gruen in 2009, the exhibition will invite the guests to experience several interactive artworks from international artists with all senses and to reflect the loss of empathy in our society with the consequently personal and political consequences.
You are welcome to submit media art projects, installations/sculptures, video-art and performance art works, according to the theme of the festival and/or to share your knowledge about a special hardware/software tool and/or working techniques with it. The festival appreciates beginner and professional workshops for "vvvv beginner/professional workshops" and "VR Basics.

What the VL?
VL is our next-generation visual programming language that combines dataflow with features known from object-oriented programming. Language features include but are not limited to:

As a proof of concept VL is now embedded into vvvv before it will later be available in a standalone development environment. In the workshop you'll learn how you can take your patching skills to the next level using the new features that distinguish VL from vvvv.
Workshop Requirements:
- Know your vvvv basics
- Bring your windows laptop with the latest vvvv alpha installed and running, if you want to patch along
Starts at 11h sharp, limited seats, first come first served. No festival ticket needed, just show up eager to learn and patient with alpha-grade software.

“Enactment” is a Visual show on real time, based on Sonic Interactions produced between instrument manipulation and physical simulations in computer environments. Moreover, “Enactment” is a visual performance based on Cognitive Enactment concept by Chris Salter, used to describe the ecological relation between user, interface and environment.

Enactment is an audiovisual work of interactive relations between sound and visual generation. This relations are relating intensity, frequency and timing of sound events during live performance to visual events triggered according to the sound analysis. A software composed of sound generators and signal input analysis are used to transform visual tridimensional meshes that resemble sound waves: these raise, collide and emerge accordingly to sound dynamics played via software or external instruments. Thus, sound parameters modify rate of and intensity of lights on a 3d virtual environment. On the visual side, brightness and momentum of waves are analyzed and extracted to provide noise qualities back to the sound, therefore a feedback loop between sound and visuals is experienced as a non deterministic approach during the live performance. The sound modules that belong to the software include Wavetable synthesis, and pulsar synthesis.http://juanduarteregino.com/Enactment
The title of the project take as a reference "Cognitive Enactment" referred by Chris Salter and Kramen Franinovic (1) as a process in which the Sonic Experience enables humans to learn from meaningful interactions with objects that imply an ecological approach in interactions between user, interface and environment. Similarly the interactive program in “Enactment” is shaped to be controlled from different ways where visuals and sounds are entangled affecting each other in closed loops.
