Good day.

Its been so busy lately that I haven't even been able to look at the blog much less put something on it, so my apologies for posting this at such late notice.

Following on from the the great session fronted by Sunep(with a cameo appearance from sugokuGENKI) much of the discussion was on how images/textures could be mutated and distorted for our amusement.

So inspired by this, this night is an image-grinding experimentation night, Starting with the basics of how you get images into vvvv.

And then and I encourage you to bring your cameras (Directshow-friendly ones), image mixers, funky lens and video capture tools. By the end of the night we might try chaining all our outputs into a multi-processed feedback loop.

We'll see what happens!

during my holydays in china i will hold a vvvv workshop together with liquid from rexgo shanghai. the first 2 days of the workshop will be for beginners, the second two days, we will do a simple 3d mapping.

Entorno de programación gráfica
Manuel Palenque

Sábados 10 y 24 de septiembre y 1 de octubre / de 14.30 a 20.30 hs.

La herramienta en la cual se hará enfoque es vvvv, un entorno de programación gráfica destinado a la composición audiovisual en tiempo real, con la posbilidad de interactuar con interfases físicas, así como distintos dispositivos y sistemas multimedia, desde luces o motores, hasta internet y base de datos.

A su vez, el planteo teórico propuesto será reflexionar en cómo el paradigma de estos desarrollos tecnológicos influye o determina el lenguaje que se articula en la producción del Arte electrónico, desde su calidad estética o conceptual.

Modalidad
El taller será dictado en 3 modulos separados, buscando abarcar el siguiente temario según la dinámica que se genere en el grupo:

• Nociones de programación gráfica
• Estructuras y tipos de datos
• Animación en tiempo real
• Procesamiento de multiples elementos
• Interacción con interfases físicas

El objetivo del taller será crear una base de conocimiento para poder finalizar un proyecto libre durante el desarrollo de los modulos.
